Over Victron Phoenix Smart lader 12/30 (1+1) IP43 230V
The new Victron Phoenix Smart charger 12/30 (1 + 1) IP43 230V has two outputs. The first output is an adjustable five-step battery charger that can provide a charge of 30A at a 12V system voltage. The second output, limited to approximately 3A with a slightly lower output voltage, is intended as a maintenance charger for a starter battery. For charging with compensation for voltage and temperature, the wireless Smart Battery Sense (SBS050100200) can be ordered.
Bluetooth Smart enabled
Use a Bluetooth enabled smartphone, tablet or other device to monitor voltage and current, change settings, and update the battery charger when new features become available.
Automatic load compensation
By slightly increasing the output voltage as the DC current increases, the battery charger automatically compensates for the voltage loss through DC cables.
Adaptive 5-stage loading algorithm: bulk - absorption - reconditioning - buffer - storage
The Phoenix Smart Charger is equipped with the well-known Victron Energy adaptive battery management system that can be preset for different types of batteries. The adaptive function automatically optimizes the charging process depending on the use of the battery.
The right amount of charge: adjusted absorption time
When the battery is slightly discharged (if the battery charger is connected to the electrical network), the absorption time is kept short to prevent overcharging and excessive gases. After a deep discharge, the absorption time is automatically extended to fully charge the battery.
Damage limitation by excessive gassing: the safe battery mode
If, in order to shorten the charging time, a high charging current and also an increased charging voltage is chosen, the Phoenix charger will limit the rise speed of the voltage after the gas voltage has been reached. This prevents excessive gassing in the final phase of the charging cycle.
Less maintenance and aging when the battery is not in use: the storage function
When no discharge takes place for more than 24 hours, it switches to the storage function. The voltage is then reduced to 2.2V / cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) to minimize gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week the voltage is increased to absorption level to recharge the battery. This prevents stratification of the electrolyte and sulphation of the plates, a major cause of premature battery failure.
Also suitable for charging Li-ion (LiFePO ') batteries
It is possible to implement a charger on / off control by connecting a relay or an open collector opto-coupler output from a Li-ion BMS to the charger's remote control port. On the other hand, full control of the voltage and current is possible by the control via Bluetooth.
Fully programmable charging algorithm
The charging algorithm can be set using Bluetooth or the VE.Direct interface. Three pre-programmed charging algorithms can be selected with the mode button.
Remote control on / off
The remote on / off consists of two connections: Remote H and Remote L. A remote on / off button or relay contact can be placed between H and L. It is also possible to increase connection H or decrease connection L.
VE.Direct interface
For connection to the Color Control panel, laptop or other equipment.
Programmable relay
Can be set using the VE.Direct interface or a Bluetooth device in case of alarm or pre-alarm.
